Changing of the import regulations

Australia has changed the import regulations for consolidated shipments of containers (LCL containers).
From the 1st of November 2002 (Arrival in Australia) a packing declaration has to be completed for these containers, like for the door-to door containers(FCL containers).

The packing declaration and the treatment certificate must have a numerical connection with the packages. This should provide a clear assignment between the papers and the package. The number or the weight of the packs is not sufficient. Accepted will be

- The Bill of Loading number
- The marking and number of the pack
- The invoice number
- The number of the packing list
- The container number

In this connection, the http://www.HPE.de wishes to remind of the regulation for consolidated shipment containers already valid since the 1st of April 2001.According to the new regulations the treatment of the wood for packages is imperative. Otherwise an after-treatment or the destruction of the package in Australia or return is threatened.

You can down-load the new regulations onto your computer by clicking the down-load icon. Please find a sample packing declaration in the annex.
